MAINTENANCE:

The Maintenance Department’s direct line during normal business hours is 305-294-9808. If your call is not answered, please leave a voicemail, and somebody will get back to you. Repairs will be prioritized based on urgency. Situations that are considered emergencies will be addressed within 24 hours. For maintenance emergencies during non-business hours, please call 305-296-5623.

RENT PAYMENTS:

Rent is due on the first day of each month. It can be paid with a check or money order, by mail, or in person at your development’s rental office or at the main office at 1400 Kennedy Drive, Key West.

If you have an unexpected change in your income, please contact your property manager. They may be able to help you get financial counseling or adjust your rent if warranted.

REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS:

The Housing Authority is committed to affording its tenants with disabilities the equal opportunity to use and enjoy their dwelling, including public and common-use spaces.  To request a reasonable accommodation, please contact the housing manager/supervisor of your housing development.

If a person with a disability believes they have been subjected to a wrongful denial of a request for reasonable accommodation, they may file a complaint with HUD within one year after the alleged denial or may file a lawsuit in federal district court within two years of the alleged denial.  If a complaint is filed with HUD, HUD will investigate the complaint at no cost to the person with a disability.

Monroe County Social Services provides a Congregate Meal Program to the senior citizen residents of SCP five days a week. The Nutrition Program offers delicious, nutritious meals and the opportunity to dine and socialize with friends. In addition, activities are provided to our senior citizen residents of SCP, including exercise programs, bingo, board games, cards, guest speakers, wellness programs, live entertainment, and holiday celebrations.
